The thaumaturge is a martial and even with the level 1 ammunition feat, it's clearly going to be easier to be in melee. You don't need to do anything special to make it succeed in melee. But with fairly few defensive options outside of Amulet, their hp will deplete a bit faster than a Fighter or Ranger.Basically it lets you get a regular 2nd level class feat instead of spending it on a multiclass feat. It's more limited since you can't use it for non-multiclass archetypes but is generally going to be valuable. Overall, though, I think rogue is the best multiclass for increasing thaumaturge DPR, followed closely by monk.Pathbuilder Web version is currently only available for desktop and larger tablets!Need help fine tuning my Thaumaturge build.
