Toad Oil becomes progressively less effective as you get higher and higher above level 50/fight monsters above level 50. It should not be taking up a valuable spell slot, because you are going to be very limited on spell slots while soloing. As a general rule of thumb, you need at least some mandatory spells for soloing: Basic Instinct.
