Why carry a 6 shot .357 when you can have a Glock 20 with 15rds of 10mm semi-auto. 20 round mag plus are also available. Now with the Gen 5 mos you cent even mount the red dot optic of your choice. IMHO I rather have 15-20 round mag dump on a charging bear than a flimsy 5-6 shot revolver.

I have actually been in a fight with a black bear, and have hunted them extensively using a .357. After my fight, I got rid of the .357 and bought a .44. Hard cast aren't the best idea on a black bear, they're just not that big. Yeah, .357 mag is more powerful, but 10MM is a lot more capacity. A 10mm hardcast out of 5"+ barrel is adequate stopping power for a black bear. I've dropped two with 10mm.
