A year ago, I was denied approval for Saxenda for weight loss (same active ingredient at Ozempic) at 33BMI & pre-diabetic. I went up to 35 BMI in a year, though I improved my fasting blood sugar to 98. I had resolved to pay out of pocket, but somehow my new doc suggested we tried to get approved for Ozempic which is much cheaper than Saxenda.
